At the docks, then out to sea, Sunday

The colors from the previous days were still holding, if maybe slightly more muted, Fandom's magic slowly fading but still managing to hang on for another day.

Seemed like a good omen as any for a wedding that Eliot still couldn't quite believe was happening.

Eliot's boat wasn't big enough for all their guests so they had "rented" (long story) a well-appointed yacht for the day. It was docked in the Port of Fandom, waiting for all the guests to board. Once the last person had crossed the gangplank, it sailed almost to the edge of the island, where blue water lapped with gray. Eliot's boat was already there, anchor down, Hardison in a tux, playing around with a sound system.

A few minutes to futz with mics and the speakers set up discreetly around the yacht came to life. "Testin'...Testin'..." Hardison murmured. Good. Everybody would be able to hear the ceremony on the second ship.

Looks like it was time to begin.

"And it's a rare day that you can say that when there isn't a major heist involved," Kanan chuckled. Knowingly, even. He'd had a few good heists in his time, after all. "It's good to see everybody so content, you know. You all deserved to have this day go perfectly."

"Aww. Thank you. Although, if something had blown up, that would've been kind of fun," Parker said speculatively. "Or if the sea monster had swum by to say so long. But maybe it's better for the normalish friends we have to not have to deal with that."

Peggy had gotten a little used to the weird, but Maggie might have wondered if someone had spiked her drink.

"Given the past few weeks." Kanan smiled crookedly. "I have no doubt that everyone local would've thrown in to keep them safe, at least. Maybe if you guys ever come back to have a ceremony to re-affirm your vows."

That was a thing people did, right? Yes? Probably?

"That would be kind of cool. And future-us were here a few times during those alumni weekends," Parker said speculatively. "So maybe we'll visit a few times. Or come back to teach for a semester. Sometime." She just couldn't see trying to build the rest of their lives here any more, nope. "Anyway, if you leave, you should still tell us where you go. Former employees and friends are always people who can crash on our couch."

"If I leave, it'll be back to my own galaxy," Kanan replied with a shrug. "There's a lot of work to do back there. But I appreciate the offer. Never know when I'll need a place to lie low."

A pause.

"More low than here, I guess."
