The colors from the previous days were still holding, if maybe slightly more muted, Fandom's magic slowly fading but still managing to hang on for another day.

Seemed like a good omen as any for a wedding that Eliot still couldn't quite believe was happening.

Eliot's boat wasn't big enough for all their guests so they had "rented" (long story) a well-appointed yacht for the day. It was docked in the Port of Fandom, waiting for all the guests to board. Once the last person had crossed the gangplank, it sailed almost to the edge of the island, where blue water lapped with gray. Eliot's boat was already there, anchor down, Hardison in a tux, playing around with a sound system.

A few minutes to futz with mics and the speakers set up discreetly around the yacht came to life. "Testin'...Testin'..." Hardison murmured. Good. Everybody would be able to hear the ceremony on the second ship.

Looks like it was time to begin.

[TIME FOR A WEDDING! If you think you were invited, you were. Some OCD coming]

"Yeah, that would have made for a very different wedding," Kanan said, grimacing. "I would've attempted to make it, but, uh..."

That had not been a good week for a person who could feel all of that.

At least he'd had Parker along?

Kanan grimaced a bit, anyway.

"Fair enough," he replied. "Anyway, it's great luck that you've all managed to pick the one day that's both completely normal, and not claimed by anything else. You all deserve a day that isn't, uh... that."

Nobody needed a Rapture wedding. Nobody.

Aaand there it was! Kanan breathed out a little huff of a laugh.

"Still working with Hera," he confirmed. "Still not dating Hera," at least as much because he was respecting the line she'd drawn as because he wasn't really a 'date' sort of guy, "but still working with Hera."

"Yeah," Kanan agreed. "I had that one figured out when I brought her back with me. She was about to fly off and I came up with this whole, 'big ship like that probably needs some crew, right,' thing, and I intend on riding that angle right on to the bitter end, if I can."

... Kinda would.

Kanan followed Eliot's gaze and breathed out a soft laugh.

"Yeah," he replied, "I've got my eye on the situation, I promise. Nobody wants things to change more than I do, trust me." A pause. "Maybe it would be nice if Hera did."

But... a lot of other things had to change, first.

Kanan couldn't help but chuckle at that. It had gone a little wry.

"The kind of trouble I'd need a bunch of old con artists for is most likely to happen in a galaxy not even remotely close to here," he noted, "and it'll involve a handful of idiots going up against a galactic Empire. I'm not going to drag anybody into that situation who isn't damn sure they want to be in the thick of it."

A beat.

"But I might have to come to you for advice, there."

Look, he was pretty sure Hardison and Parker would be over the moon to get to play around on spaceships and watch battles with laser swords and pew-pew guns, but novelty wasn't nearly enough justification to throw them in the middle of an Imperial base full of Stormtroopers and walkers.
