The colors from the previous days were still holding, if maybe slightly more muted, Fandom's magic slowly fading but still managing to hang on for another day.

Seemed like a good omen as any for a wedding that Eliot still couldn't quite believe was happening.

Eliot's boat wasn't big enough for all their guests so they had "rented" (long story) a well-appointed yacht for the day. It was docked in the Port of Fandom, waiting for all the guests to board. Once the last person had crossed the gangplank, it sailed almost to the edge of the island, where blue water lapped with gray. Eliot's boat was already there, anchor down, Hardison in a tux, playing around with a sound system.

A few minutes to futz with mics and the speakers set up discreetly around the yacht came to life. "Testin'...Testin'..." Hardison murmured. Good. Everybody would be able to hear the ceremony on the second ship.

Looks like it was time to begin.

"I did, and I did!" And he'd left his backpack at home, so he wasn't even smuggling any out. Besides the stuff that fit in his pockets, anyway. He was resourceful, dammit. "The ceremony was great. Your entrance? Perfection. And oh my god, that new pastor guy seems like he knows what's up, maybe."

A beat.

"He's easy to look at, at least."

Sparkle did not really trust the clergy.

Please take all of the leftovers, Sparkle. They deserve a happy home in your stomach, where they'd be appreciated.

"Really? I practiced it, I was thinking no wires, but then I thought, what if we hit a wave and the boat bobbed and flipped me off the edge, so. And yeah, he did a good job, didn't he? Even if we aren't part of his religion or whatever, he was really nice about it. You have to call or text me if he adjusts okay to the Island," Parker added with a small pang. She was gonna miss Sparkle. "And come visit!"

Sparkle would be so happy to just grab a serving tray and load up, don't think he wouldn't.

"The wires were a good call," he replied, nodding sagely. "And yeah, I'll definitely keep you up to date about cute priesty guy, if I see him again. He's at the Wednesday stuff sometimes, so that might help."

He paused a moment, smiled faintly, and then held open his arms. Hug?

"Promise I'll visit. We can get into and right back out of shit together wherever you go, it'll be great."

Yeah, okay. Hug. Special occasion and all.

Parker's hugs were all elbows and wrists, but still tight. "That sounds like a really great plan." She grinned. "And we should check up on the kids in Toronto on some trip soon."

"Oh my god, I desperately want to," Sparkle admitted, clinging for a moment-- he was used to elbows-and-wrists hugs. He'd grown up alongside a lot of people who weren't... huggy. "I, um. I was thinking of maybe trying to get my name cleared. Like. Going through all the motions and all."

He paused a moment, and added, "If I earn my freedom in court, maybe I'll get my sister back. Among other things."

Parker had been there. He thought maybe she'd get it.

"That would be so cool." Parker was bouncing on her toes. 'Other things' included the nephews and nieces, however many of them there were now. "We'd be happy to help, you know, if there was anything we can do." Admittedly, Sparkle had actually set some things on fire, but...

Sparkle nodded a little.

"Hernando told me to hire someone to look up precedent, because doing that myself was mostly just ending in hyperventilating, it was a great time," he admitted. "But... I mean, things are looking... maybe okay? There's still a chance I might get sentenced to jail time, but a lot of cases similar to mine are coming up community service."

Years of it, sure. But community service.

"Seriously, I think you've done your time. You've been on the Island how long?" Parker paused, then added, "But maybe community service could be fun, it was the right kind. Either way, we know how a lot of this stuff works. And we'd be happy to help." She beamed at him. "Everyone deserves more happy endings."

"Don't they ever." Sparkle gave a small laugh at that. "Thanks, Parker. I appreciate it. If I start feeling like I'm in way over my head, I'll call you guys, I promise."
