The kid's pulse ran in time with that ticking sound. Eliot moved to shift some of the torn shirt aside so he could get a better look at all that metal and leather.
Considering where the kid had landed -- and what day it was -- he probably shouldn't be quite so surprised to realize he was looking at a very rudimentary cyborg.
