The loft above Luke's, Saturday morning

Eliot's clothes had all wound up in the general door to couch area, and it wasn't like he had any spares lying around (and trying to wear Hardison's would make him look like a kid playing dress-up), so after a quick shower (when did Hardison and Parker get all this hair stuff? And why was it all the stuff Eliot used?), he wandered out into the living room area in nothing but a towel to at least find his shirt before he got started on breakfast. (He'd learned early in his cooking career that you just didn't work with those kinds of temperatures without covering your chest. And aprons didn't count.)

And froze, grabbing onto the towel to hold it in place, when he spotted the twelve year old girl standing over by the door.

"The kitchen staff downstairs said you'd be up here," she said.

"Um," said Eliot.

"Why are you living with Uncle Hardison and Aunt Parker?" she asked.

"Um," said Eliot.

"You guys need to clean up in here better, Daddy." She nudged the crumpled pile of pants by the couch with the toe of her shoe. "Mummy would not approve."

Eliot rubbed his hand down his face. "Goddammit, Fandom."

[ooc: generally for the assortment of folks currently at or soon to be arriving at the loft, with bouts of slowplay on all sides, but also open!]

If Joey needed a baseball bat, she'd either have a perfectly reasonable and incredibly detailed story to explain precisely why she needed it and the person who had it needed to give it to her -- or she'd punch them in the stomach, snatch it, and run.

"Sisters are amazing," she informed Spike with an eyeroll. "And so is bein' 'girlied up'." She opened her nail polish and started painting her thumbnail an incredibly bright shade of turquoise. "I'm a hitter and a grifter. What are y'all's skills?"

Yes, but those were still memorable, Joey. Sometimes you needed to get in and out.

"Hacker-mastermind!" Ada declared. "Daddy says that it's okay I take after Papa and Aunt Parker, so long's as I got his palate."

"Eliot's food would be worth staying for even if the crew weren't so cool," Spike admitted. "Thief!" Oh look. Is this sparkle nail polish? Hmm. "And grifter, sometimes. Hardison's shown me a little hacking-- mostly the last time that Chaos jerk broke out of prison." Meditatively he said, "Hate that guy."

"Right," Joey said with a firm nod. "We've got ourselves a full crew, then."

"Awesome." The smile crossing Ada's face would send a shiver down any adult's back. "So, did you guys see some of the stores around here?" she checked. "Now that we got us a crew...let's go steal us a Chilly Boulder."

"I'm in!" SO in. Sisters were pretty okay if they came up with ideas like that.

Joey grinned. "Aunt Parker mentioned ice cream. I bet she'd be real proud of us."

"Okay then," Ada said, as her program beeped. She'd gotten through the first few layers of protections on Papa's system, which meant she had access to basic stuff on the computer. Which was fine, that was enough for her purposes.

They couldn't use the screens or their parents would figure out what they were up to, so she gestured to them to gather around the screen.

"So this is a map of the island," she said, pulling one up. "And here's our target." A red star appeared over Chilly Boulder. "And here we are." Followed by a green circle over the apartment. "Now me explain what we're gonna do..."
